Nubia Susana Boland is a bilingual Licensed Master Social Worker in Texas who is known for her enthusiasm, compassion, and deep commitment to serving individuals and families facing emotional and behavioral challenges. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2018, specializing in work with Hispanic individuals and families.
Originally trained in law, Nubia graduated from Universidad del Zulia in Maracaibo in 1991. Her passion for social work began in her home country and continued to grow through volunteer service in the United States and abroad, supporting minority and economically disadvantaged communities. As part of her professional training, she completed an internship at a hospital in Santa Rosa de Quiché, Guatemala, further strengthening her cross-cultural experience. Having traveled extensively and worked with diverse cultural and ethnic populations, Nubia brings a global perspective to her practice. As an immigrant herself, she has personal insight into the challenges of adapting to new environments and life transitions.
Her clinical approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She is dedicated to fostering resilience and creating a safe, supportive, and non- judgmental space where clients can heal and grow. Nubia remains committed to serving her community with passion, compassion, and dedication—always meeting clients where they are.
